Of the institution's uncertified building space, what percentage of floor area is maintained in accordance with an energy management or benchmarking program? (0-100):
100

A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:

The campus utilizes Johnson Control Metasys Building Energy Management system to help monitor all the buildings on the Oshkosh campus. Using the Metasys system, the campus is able to set and schedule run times for various mechanical systems such as air handling units, chillers and heat pumps. The campus also uses the Metasys system to control campus security and parking lot lighting. Holiday schedules, weekend schedule and special events scheduling are implemented to help limit the run times of equipment and lighting during weekends and holidays. Facilities Management works closely with Campus Scheduling to adjust the schedules on a weekly basis for weekends and holidays. Optimization of equipment efficiencies are achieved through Metasys by analyzing reporting points on the system. Notifications and alarms are set up to help monitor and notify staff when systems are out of their normal values.

The Johnson Controls Metasys system is also used to monitor building energy use through the use of a complex metering system. Electrical energy along with Steam and Condensate are monitored along with the energy harvesting of the campus Photovoltaic and Thermal solar systems. Monthly building meter readings are recorded and analyzed by Facilities Management to look for any abnormalities in the energy use. Trends are also set up by the campus to view energy use close up by the month, day or hour as desired.
