A committee of faculty from various disciplines formed an ad hoc committee to develop a set of questions that addressed essential learning outcomes related to sustainability for any USP course that includes sustainability as a signature question in a Quest 1 course.

All students in the USP program explore sustainability as one of their three Quest courses in general education. The students were first tested in the very beginning of the semester and again at the very end. Students enrolled in Quest 1 courses with the sustainability signature question were assessed using the pre- and post-test.
