Does the institution offer housing options to accomodate the special needs of transgender and transitioning students (either as a matter of policy or as standard practice)?:
No

A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:

UW-Milwaukee University Housing will implement an Inclusive Housing policy beginning in the fall of 2013 and will become the first UW System institution with a housing policy that provides flexibility to accommodate students who are gender non-conforming, gay or have other aspects of their culture or identity that require certain considerations with room assignments and residence communities.
As part of the self-selection process, incoming students must request an Inclusive Housing assignment through University Housing. Inclusive Housing assignments will be made only upon request by a student. The goal is to offer an inviting, welcoming space for students who express in their housing applications aspects of their culture or identity that require considerations.
