A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Upon completion of the Solar Decathlon, the net-zero home, "Meltwater", designed by the UWM's School of Architecture and College of Engineering, was rebuilt on campus adjacent to the largest residence hall on campus. Meltwater serves as a living laboratory of sustainable design for all students to engage in and continue to learn from. It is now rented out as a meeting space to maximize its lifetime and be available for all of the campus community.
