Two buildings operated by the Wisconsin Union Directorate (Memorial Union and Union South) are operated under a developed and documented Green Cleaning Progam (see attached).
All buildings managed by University Housing follows green cleaning practices as an ongoing commitment to the health of its residents, staff, and environment. The Lotus Pro chemical-free, water-based cleaning system uses aqueous ozone to thoroughly sanitize and clean surfaces. Housing also purchases paper towels, toilet paper, and plastic bags made with recycled materials (https://www.housing.wisc.edu/about/sustainability/operations/#green-cleaning).

While UW-Madison does not manage buildings in accordance with the specific programs identified above, it does implement a number of sustainable practices, including:
- A University-wide IAQ that includes procedures for reporting indoor air quality issues and responding to issues
- Compliance with the Guide for Animal Care and Handling (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/olaw/guide-for-the-care-and-use-of-laboratory-animals.pdf) for animal holding facilities
- Incorporation of green cleaning products and techniques
- Energy and Water use tracking at the facility-level (where building level metering is available)
- A University-wide IAQ that includes procedures for reporting indoor air quality issues and responding to issues
