Does the institution offer at least one immersive, sustainability-focused educational study program that is one week or more in length?:
Yes

A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:

UW-Madison's study abroad program (https://studyabroad.wisc.edu/) is a good example of an immersive experience. Study abroad programs offer students opportunities to complete a portion of their studies outside of Madison, complementing and enhancing student learning while they earn meaningful credit toward their major and degree.

While there are multiple examples of sustainability-focused study abroad programs, a specific example is the "UW Water for Life: Sustainability and Community Health in Ecuador" program (https://studyabroad.wisc.edu/program/?programId=362). This two week program highlights the interconnections between human use of water resources and health. Students in the program examine the sustainability of land and water management practices in a rural coastal community where people rely on rivers for their water needs.

An inventory of all the sustainability-focused study abroad programs is included in the attachment to this credit.
