UW-Madison has been a member of WRC since joining conditionally in February of 2000 and officially during WRC's founding conference in April of 2000 (https://news.wisc.edu/uw-takes-lead-role-in-worker-rights-alliance/). UW-Madison has been an active member of the organization including being the first school in the nation to support the principles of the Designated Suppliers Program (https://news.wisc.edu/uw-madison-continues-anti-sweatshop-efforts/).
