Each program at UW-Madison defines its own learning outcomes (LOs).

First, we obtained a list of these 2469 program-level LOs. Then, we developed a set of search terms (e.g., "sustainability," "inequality," and "climate change") derived from the STARS sustainability learning outcome definition and UN Sustainable Development Goals. Using these search terms, we shortened the list to roughly 170 sustainability-related LOs.

Each program-level LO was then reviewed by a faculty-staff team from the Office of Sustainability. Finally, additional sustainability LOs were identified by faculty and staff during review and validation of the STARS report. The final list of programs and their associated LOs is included in the attachment to this credit.
