A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The staff of the Counseling & Testing Center provides counseling services to students in the areas of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, gender-related concerns, eating disorders, sexual assault and relationship violence, sexual orientation and more. The departments mission is to promote students' emotional, academic, social and cultural growth through counseling, crisis intervention and outreach within an atmosphere of confidentiality and inclusivity.
Faculty and Staff are provided with up to five free counseling sessions per year through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). University of Wisconsin-La Crosse contracts with an outside vendor, Associates in Counseling, LLC, for this program.
