Sustainable transportation alternatives are prominently featured to new students (not including transfer students) and their parents via electronic newsletters and on UW-L’s web site. These transportation alternatives include:

• Jefferson and Badge bus services for traveling between UW-L and student homes

• Amtrak, which operates a station in La Crosse

• Enterprise Car Share

• U-Pass: provides daily unlimited, fare free passage on all MTU bus routes and the Safe Ride - a safe ride between downtown and campus during evening hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

• Bike rental
