The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire strives to improve the health and wellbeing of our campus community as part of our ongoing commitment to invest in our faculty and staff. Employee Wellbeing at UWEC is an Okanagan program. The Okanagan Charter calls for higher education institutions to embed health and wellbeing into all aspects of campus life, promoting a holistic approach to student and community wellness. The Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Wellbeing works to provide faculty and staff with activities and resources that boost all dimensions of wellbeing. Some examples of wellbeing programs/resources offered include an employee wellbeing page on our website that is dedicated to connecting employees with wellbeing information and resources, fitness and wellness opportunities through UWEC Recreation, ETF webinars, Well WI Radio, flexible work arrangements, a tuition reimbursement program, professional development opportunities, and an Employee Assistant Program. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Employee Assistance Program is through Kepro. This program, which is free to all employees and their spouses, provides a wide range of services. Individuals have 24/7 access to services such as legal and financial consultations, counseling services, and online tools and information. In the case that additional services are needed, EAP professionals will assist in identifying a local and affordable resource to help best meet the individual's needs.
