The Prairie Climate Centre and the Climate Atlas of Canada

The Prairie Climate Centre, founded in 2016, is a partnership between the University and the International Institute for Sustainable Development,
is a hub for climate data, research and communication located on the UWinnipeg campus. Their goal is to help Canada transition "from risk to resilience" by explaining the science of climate change through examining local and regional contexts.
With an interdisciplinary team and approach, and wide network of partners, the PCC provides stakeholders across the Prairies with up-to-date and high quality data, maps and toolkits depicting the nature of climate changes that are expected to occur.
In April 2018, the PCC launched the new Climate Atlas of Canada with backing from the federal Environment and Climate Change ministry. This interactive educational tool the tool 121 million in the last year alone. The PCC team is now working to add a new Indigenous climate change impacts and solution layer to the Atlas.
