Western University participates in a regional carpool program where students and staff can register themselves in order to find a partner with whom to commute. Participants receive a guaranteed parking spot, guaranteed ride home, and complimentary parking passes.

Western University offers several parking spaces only for electric vehicle owners.

Western offers a discounted transit pass included as part of student fees, which enables all students cheaper access to sustainable transportation. Western is also participating in Ontario's Share the Road, U-Cycle campaign. One of the student benefits of this campaign allows for bike riders to receive a discount at participating businesses within London when they come in with their helmet and Western student card.
