Western Sustainability's social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) feature campus sustainability initiatives, institutional goals, student programs, and tips for sustainable living both on- and off-campus. Students are encouraged to engage with the social media posts through contests and giveaways, quizzes, Q&A, and through student-centred posts (created by stduents) that promote sustainability events and programs.

Green building signage are placed in all LEED certified buildings, as required by the CaGBC. In these signs, we highlight some of the main features of the building that make it green, including LED lighting, choice of materials, water/waste/energy features and more.
Does the institution provide a sustainability walking map or tour?:

The Interactive Walking Tour map is a living document showcasing sustainable features on campus. There are two suggested self-guided walking paths on the map.
The LEED buildings walking path will take you to see some of the thirteen buildings on campus that are LEED certified.
The gardens tour walking path starts at the TD Friends of the Environment Biodynamic Garden, then will lead you on a path through the Beryl Ivey Garden, Kent Walk, Cominco Courtyard, St. Mary’s Cement Rock Garden, the Tropical House, (in which a tour can be arranged here), Jancey Garden, and lastly Jane’s Courtyard, which can be accessed through the Biological and Geological Sciences building.

A brief description of the guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:
The Sustainable Living Guide provides resources and tips for sustainable living choices both on- and off-campus. Students can access the Guide through the sustainability website, and also receive a physical copy at the beginning of the year in residences. The guide covers topics such as: Energy, Waste, Food, Community Engagement, Green Spaces, Transportation and Water; and the Guide is produced both in a "pocket-brochure" format, which folds up to the size of a business card, and also a "full guide" which is a few pages long and available in PDF.
A brief description of other comprehensive sustainability outreach materials and publications not covered above:
Western has 'Green Boards' (bulletin boards) located in academic and residence buildings across campus to raise awareness of campus sustainability including initiatives like the annual Green Awards, waste diversion programs at Western, and sustainability tips and facts.
