A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :

Western, as a knowledge community is committed to supporting staff to pursue education goals to enhance their career options and enrich their lives. The Educational Assistance Plan helps them achieve their goals, and helps Western to engage and keep its best employees.

Western provides financial assistance to help staff seek or finish a degree, pursue professional development, or take individual courses that are relevant to their career aspirations. Advanced funding is also available for many courses.

Staff may pursue any sustainability-related studies at Western, or studies related to their profession at any accredited Canadian university or college; explore opportunities at Continuing Studies at Western; or consider computer training with Western ITS courses.
