A brief description of how the assessment(s) were developed:
The assessment was developed based on identifying sustainability related initiatives and features on campus and devising an array of questions to determine the knowledge/experience each student has about each. This survey will also contribute to the Presidents Advisory Council on Environment and Sustainability's (PACES) goals for sustainability by identifying items that need to be better conveyed to students and to determine the best way of reaching out to different types of students.
A brief description of how the assessment(s) were administered:
The Western University Sustainability Assessment was administered via email to all undergraduate and graduate students at Western. The email provided a link to an online survey that students could opt to take part in for the chance of winning one of several campus related gift cards and merchandise (BookStore, Hospitality Services, etc.).
A brief summary of results from the assessment(s):
The results of this assessment are currently being compiled. A follow-up survey is in the early stages of development, but will likely be very similar to the initial survey.
