Communications and Training Officer
Physical Plant and Capital Planning Services
Does the institution use a centralized energy management system that allows it to track energy consumption and performance in multiple buildings in a central location?:
A brief description of the management system:
At Western, energy (e.g., electricity, steam use) is being tracked on a real-time basis for various buildings on campus through a Building Automation System (BAS). BAS allows the control and monitor of mechanical equipments (e.g., AHUs), room temperatures and other variables.
