The Sustainable Investment Advisory Committee (SIAC) is an ad hoc committee that advises the Finance and Investment Committee (FIC) on sustainable investments. The committee is comprised of two trustees, the Executive Director of the UWG Foundation (who is also a staff member in the Advancement Offic, and the Director of Sustainability, who is also a faculty member. The SIAC is tasked with helping the FIC in pursuing more intentional investments and making the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) rating a determining factor for investments.

The Sustainability Advisory Committee has only recently come into existence, but it is an integral part in working out basic, documented commitments to socially and environmentally responsible investments on the part of the Foundation. A goal of the Sustainability Plan is have a portion of UWG's portfolio be dedicated to sustainability focused investments.
