The UW also owns and leases buildings in other parts of Seattle and beyond. Unless otherwise noted, this report includes buildings owned or leased and operated by UW in Seattle. Properties outside of Seattle are not included. We also do not include cases where UW is ground lessor to buildings owned and occupied by others, and UW buildings leased to commercial tenants.

Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:

Medical school Yes Yes
Other professional school with labs or clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) Yes Yes
Museum Yes Yes
Satellite campus Yes No
Farm larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres No No

The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
Facilities such has Harborview Medical Center and others located throughout the city are not owned by UW and thus their GHG emissions are tracked and reported through other agencies or the property owners. Additional examples of exclusions due to this rationale include: Valley Medical Center, UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics, and The Rome Center.

The UW Bothell and UW Tacoma campuses will be submitting separate STARS reports covering those campuses.
