AASHE Campus Sustainability Leadership Awards 2023: UVA's submission, "Footprints in Action: How UVA Is Managing Its Sustainability Stewardship”, was selected as a Campus Sustainability Research Award finalist.
In summer 2023, UVA hosted the ACC Sports Sustainability conference (https://www.sustainableacc.com/events) and presented on zero waste in athletics.

Andrea Trimble, UVA's Sustainability Director is on the Executive Team for the Ivy Plus Sustainability Collaborative (as a co-chair). Jesse Warren, Associate Director of Sustainability, is a member of the Department of Energy Higher Education Steering Committee.

Yes - ongoing partnerships and information-sharing with Virginia Tech, James Madison University, and William and Mary including visits at each school or at UVA.

A brief description of the peer review activities:
In fall 2023, the UVA Office for Sustainability reviewed the University of Southern California's STARS submission, as well as George Mason University's STARS submission.
A brief description of other inter-campus collaborative efforts around sustainability during the previous year :
Beginning in 2020, UVA partnered with William and Mary to collaborate on a shared goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. A committee with representatives from both schools was formed and the committee has been working to advance collaborative projects.
