UVA is a member of AASHE, the Department of Energy Higher Education Steering Committee, the ICLEI tree carbon accounting cohort (higher education and muncipalities), the EPA Green Power Partnership, and the Listening Post/Ivy Plus sustainability consortium.

Yes - ongoing partnerships and information-sharing with Virginia Tech, James Madison University, and William and Mary including visits at each school or at UVA.

Yes

A brief description of the peer review activities:

UVA staff were beta testers for the University of New Hampshire's Sustainability Indicator Management and Analysis Platform (SIMAP) as the tool was being developed. SIMAP is a comprehensive footprint-reporting tool that offers campuses a simple and affordable online platform for tracking, calculating, and reporting their carbon and nitrogen footprints.

UVA student interns are involved in the current and past AASHE STARS update.


A brief description of other inter-campus collaborative efforts around sustainability during the previous year :

Beginning in 2020, UVA partnered with William and Mary to collaborate on a shared goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. A committee with representatives from both schools was formed and the committee has been working to advance collaborative projects.
