A brief description of the socially responsible investment option for retirement plans:
The University uses TIAA-CREF as one of two vendors the University utilizes for retirement and optional savings plan. TIAA-CREF offers the Social Choice fund that "seeks a favorable long-term rate of return that reflects the investment performance of the financial markets while giving special consideration to certain social criteria."
