Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes

Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
100

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
UVM administered a campus climate survey during the winter of 2021-2022 that was open to all employees and students. The survey included questions about employee satisfaction, like whether employees felt treated with respect, received mentoring, and could speak freely about workplace issues. The employee response rate was 54% (2,274/4,192).

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
During the 2022-2023 academic year, all units represented on our University Diversity Council are expected to analyze their unit’s data and use it as baseline data for their 2023-2028 Inclusive Excellence Action Plans. Each unit’s plans are expected to include interventions to address issues raised by the survey.

Over the past three years, units here and there have used data from the 2019 campus climate survey to address issues raised by that survey. However, the data was not baselined and this is the fundamental change our new, revised process has implemented.
