A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:
Styrofoam in Dining was phased out by 2012. In 2013 UVM stopped selling bottled water. Straws were made available only by request in UVM Dining outlets in 2018. Plastic bags, Styrofoam and plastic stirrers were eliminated in 2020.
