The Socially Responsible Investing Advisory Council is a group of students, faculty, staff, and administrators that makes recommendations to the Vice President for Finance and Treasurer on sustainability investment at the University of Vermont.

Members of each committee, including affiliations and role:
The Socially Responsible Investing Advisory Council consists of 10 members: two faculty members appointed by the VPF in consultation with the Faculty Senate President, two staff members appointed by the VPF in consultation with the Staff Council President, two undergraduate students appointed by the VPF in consultation with the President of the Student Government Association, two graduate students appointed by the VPF in consultation with the Graduate Student Senate President, and two administrative officers/executives appointed by the VPF.

All members serve two-year terms which are renewable.

The Coordinator of Sustainable Funds is a non-voting member and supports the activities of the SRIAC.

A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:
The Office of Sustainability(OoS) continues to advance sustainability goals, foster a culture of sustainability on campus, and provide strategic support for initiatives. In the past three years we have created a new Sustainability Ambassadors program for employees and a new course on sustainability through Professional Training and Development for employees. After analyzing the results of the 2017 STARS reporting process, OoS decided to focus on transportation initiatives during 2017-2020. OoS and transportation staff collaborated to find funding, locate, and install electric vehicle charging stations; create a bikeshare program; create a new, mandatory educational module on transportation alternatives required of all parking permit seekers; and pilot and ultimately receive official approval of a fleet vehicle purchasing policy that encourages low- and zero-emissions fleet vehicles.
