A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Eco-Reps engage residential students in sustainability through peer-to-peer education that spreads awareness and focuses on behavioral change. Eco-Reps have a 1 day training at the beginning of the year and ongoing training at weekly staff meetings throughout the year. Peer-to-peer education and outreach happens through tabling, events, guest presentations for student clubs/orgs, social media and print materials. Davis Center Eco-Reps (Davis Center is the student union building)
A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):
Davis Center Eco-Reps (DCERs) are unique because they are not tied to the residence halls. They work for the student union building and work closely with student life to engage all residential and non residential undergraduate students in sustainability, mostly through events. They facilitate progress toward sustainability topics relevant to the Davis Center and run major programs like farmers markets and Earth Week. These events reach a much broader audience than the residential program. DCERs attend the same training as other Eco-Reps. Here is the schedule of Earth Week events in 2019: https://www.facebook.com/events/university-of-vermont/uvm-earth-week-2019/328252237798387/
