The Vermont Land Trust holds conservation easements on Centennial Woods and Carse Wetlands. The Nature Conservancy has placed legal language on land that they conveyed to UVM at Shelburne Pond and Colchester Bog. Mount Mansfield and Molly Bog are both designated National Natural Monuments. The remaining four sites, East Woods, Redstone Quarry, Pease Mountain, and Concord Woods have administrative protection, i.e.UVM Board of Trustees designation, and are zoned at the local level as conservation/open space lands.
