While we do have an institutional repository in place and there is now an open access policy for theses and dissertations, there is not yet an open access policy for faculty/staff research and scholarship at the institutional or unit level. The Libraries created and manage Scholarworks, the institutional repository. The Libraries belong to SPARC (the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition), which is an organization of research libraries that advocates nationally for open access (see sparcopen.org).
