Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes

A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
Feed U Pantry
The Feed U Pantry at the A. Ray Olpin Union Building opened in October 2014. It is open to all University of Utah students, faculty, and staff with a current University of Utah ID. The Pantry is run by volunteers and is supported by donations. Donors can give food directly to the pantry or donate money through the Development Office. During the growing season, Edible Campus Gardens donates fresh garden produce to the Feed U Pantry. Since opening in October 2014, the volunteer-powered Feed U Food Pantry has impacted over 1,000 University of Utah members and their families.
There are two satellite Feed U Pantries for UHealth students faculty and staff at Eccles Health Sciences Education Building and Stensaas Lounge.

Food Security Survey of Higher Education (2021)
The University of Utah participated in a food security survey that was conducted over six weeks in the fall semester of 2021, during the COVID-19 global pandemic. This final report was shared with the campuses, project team members and USHE in February 2022. Each campus also received an individual campus report.
