Bennion Center Community Engaged Learning faculty incentives:

The Bennion Center incentivizes university faculty to engage in Community Engaged Learning through financial incentives for programs, as well as the Bennion Center’s faculty awards, including Public Service Professor and Distinguished Faculty Service Award. In FY22, there were 253 Community Engaged Learning Classes in 53 different departments, impacting 4,828 students, lead by 134 faculty and 40 teaching assistants. 90,925 community engaged learning hours were completed through these classes. To incentivize the creation of Community Engaged Learning courses, the Bennion Center pays an honorarium to a local community partner and reimburses faculty for related expenses, among other things.
