Green Office Power Hour
Beginning in fall 2018 and through 2021, the Sustainability Office kicked off its Green Power Hour series, a 90-minute training for all interested employees, both non-academic and academic, to learn and share details about what the university is doing and what offices in particular are doing. Past power hour topics include talks on engagement, purchasing, and more. Topics are identified through conversations with staff participating in the Green Office Certification program. Each Power Hour has had 50+ attendees and more than a dozen departments represented.

Lifelong Learning
The University of Utah’s Continuing Education program offers Lifelong Learning courses in Home, Garden, & Green Living. Classes include Plants 101, Vegetable Propagation, Waterwise Gardening, and more. University employees at least six months into employment are eligible for 50-percent off all classes.
