A brief description of the institution’s participation in an external network of anchor institutions:
Healthcare Anchor Network
University of Utah Health joined the Healthcare Anchor Network in Spring 2019. The Healthcare Anchor Network is A growing national collaboration of over 45 leading healthcare systems building more inclusive and sustainable local economies. Members of the Network, typically non-profit organizations or publicly-owned enterprises, are community-focused, helping to ensure their communities are safe, vibrant and healthy. Member organizations share their best practices and redirect them to building and investing within the local community by creating more local jobs and empowering minority and female-owned businesses. U of U Health co-hosted the Network’s biannual conference focusing on community stakeholders and leveraging philanthropy on November 20-22, 2019 in Salt Lake City.
