The whole of the University's built environment is managed through a combination of above code building standards and energy monitoring. The campus is assessed holistically for energy use intensity (EUI) and individual facilities are currently under extensive, energy related upgrades.

An IAQ SOP has been in place since 2009. Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (https://oehs.utah.edu/) is responsible for implementation. Further work this coming year will be towards implementing protocol consistent with I-BEAM or ASHRAE standards.
