Staff at the University of Utah have the opportunity to participate in sustainability related training opportunities year round. These opportunities include green office certification, green team training, recycling ambassador training, and coaching related to eco-friendly events. It is estimated that a minimum of 1% of university staff participate in these trainings annually.
The Sustainability Office has designated staff who present information to departments as part of the green team and green office certification programs and upon request. A call for all staff to participate in these training opportunities goes out at minimum, once per year in a campus-wide newsletter. In addition, an online reference tool kit that includes reference material from presentations and other supporting materials is available to all staff year round.
