Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
The fleet data as reported covers the standard vehicle fleet as reported for the calendar year 2010 greenhouse gas inventory. It does not include the numerous plug-in electric carts and small utility vehicles that are used primarily on internal campus routes and sidewalks, not streets. This credit does not give credit for compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. However, given the significant air quality issues in the Salt Lake Valley, the University of Utah has invested in CNG vehicles to replace diesel buses in order to help reduce criteria pollutant impacts, specifically for campus shuttle fleet vehicles. The University also has a CNG fueling station that is open to the general public.
