Does the institution compost or mulch waste from grounds keeping, including grass trimmings?:
Yes

A brief description of the composting or mulching program:

Grass is mowed and mulched on location: clippings are left behind by the mower to decompose. The University of Utah Grounds Department has also collected and donated leaves to the edible campus gardens for compost. The majority of leaves and green waste goes to the Salt Lake County landfill for composting at that facility. The University of Utah does not sufficient resources to manage its own composting program and the landfill provides this service within a reasonable distance from campus, then sells the finished compost.
