A brief description of the institution’s program to support employee volunteering:

Each year, the University of Toronto Mississauga supports the United Way as part of tri-campus efforts at University of Toronto.

The UTM United Way Campaign has a long-standing tradition of running events of all kinds to raise awareness, support fundraising efforts and show our school spirit. Events such as the Lost & Found Sale, United Way Dodgeball Tournament, and Santa’s Workshop. Volunteers also run the Re-Gift Shop where shoppers can purchase new or lightly used gifts. In addition, there is also a Annual Arts & Crafts Silent Auction run by UTM volunteers which staff, faculty and students can participate.

UTM also participates in the CIBC Run for the Cure on an annual basis. This event has become Canada’s largest single day, volunteer-led event in support of the breast cancer cause and UTM is a proud participant of this event. https://www.utm.utoronto.ca/faculty-staff/2019-run-cure
