A tri-campus inventory of sustainability research was conducted following the methodology described here: https://data.utoronto.ca/sustainable-development-goals-sdg-report/sdg-report-appendix/
To create the UTM-specific inventory, first all entries for non-UTM researchers were removed. We then visited websites for the remaining researchers to obtain a description of their research interests and ensure that they were sustainability researchers.
In addition, several researchers from research centres that have relevance to sustainability (e.g. Centre for Urban Environments) were added to the inventory, and their research interests/topics were also obtained from their websites.
Sustainability research was identified through its relevance to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
