The University currently follows the University of Texas - San Antonio Occupational Health and Safety program as related to research involving animals.
UIW injuries are evaluated by Human Resources in accordance with OSHA 300a.

Every injury requires the submission of an Injury Report which is received by HR and EHSRM. HR follows OSHA 300a to evaluate each injury to determine if injury is reportable or not.
