The University of the Incarnate Word was received recognition as one of 10 honorees in the inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Awards for the San Antonio Business Journal: https://www.uiw.edu/news/2021/10/uiw-honored-for-diversity-and-inclusion.html

Previously, UIW's Feik School of Pharmacy received the 2020 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine: https://www.uiw.edu/news/2020/uiw-school-receives-national-award-in-diversity.html

In addition, the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) has been selected to join the Icahn School of Medicine's Anti-Racist Transformation in Medical Education program. The program team received 48 applications from medical schools across the U.S. and Canada, of which 10 schools were selected to participate. UIWSOM was the only osteopathic medical school selected.
