The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (CCVI) operate a blog on justice, peace, and care of creation, which frequently features initiatives or collaborations with the university and is read by people in 10 countries and is available in Spanish and English: https://www.amormeus.org/en/blog/ In addition, the Sustainability Advisory Board has a Facebook account: https://www.facebook.com/UIWsustain/ And the UIW community gardens have a Facebook account: https://www.facebook.com/UIWCommunityGarden/ With the shift to Instagram, UIW's student-run sustainability organization, Sustain, has shifted most of its posting to that platform: https://www.instagram.com/uiw_sustain/
Signage
A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:
The UIW community gardens feature signage that explains what the gardens are explains the open-harvest policy. Select waste receptacles on campus, branded with the UIW logo, also feature signage explaining that the receptacles themselves are made from recycled materials. Many recycling bins on campus are accompanied by signs articulating what materials may be recycled and what should go into waste receptacles. Sustainability map or tour
A brief description of the sustainability walking map or tour:
There is a map available through UIW's main sustainability page that shows where recycling bins can be found and explains what can be put in them. https://www.uiw.edu/eccl/sustainability/where-do-i-recycle.html In addition, there is a map available to show walking trails through the Headwaters Sanctuary, which encompasses part of UIW's campus and includes the historically important Blue Hole, one of the original sources of the San Antonio River: https://www.headwaters-iw.org/maps-and-photos
Green living guide
A brief description of the guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:
Through FLAGS (Focused Learning and Growth System), an educational platform offered to all UIW students in campus residence, various aspects of sustainability are introduced over the course of the academic year, including health and well being, recycling, gardening, equality, among others.
