A brief description of the institution’s rainwater management policy, plan, and/or guidelines that supports the responses above:

UFV does not currently have a dedicated Stormwater Management Plan that guides green infrastructure and low impact development practices on all campuses. However, several guiding documents reference stormwater management practices, and UFV has a network of storm retention/collection ponds throughout the campuses.

For example, UFV's Abbotsford Campus Master Plan contains design guidelines for stormwater management including:
- Integrate stormwater management practices throughout the whole site, not only in one area
- Utilize permeable paving materials
- Minimize the use of impermeable hardscape surfaces
- Utilize water-tolerant planting
- Incorporate green infrastructure where appropriate Vegetated swale
