Does the institution prioritize the use of native plant species in landscaping?:
A brief description of the native plant program, policy, or practice:
As part of the nearly completed plaza deck renovations, 90,000 square feet of vegetated space was added to the Van Ness Campus. For that project, native plant species were prioritized to enhance landscaping performance. In addition, the new student design scheme includes a landscaping plan which prioritizes native plant species in order to maximize stormwater retention capacity.
