A brief description of the program(s):
At the beginning each semester, UDC Sustainability Initiative participates in faculty professional development by providing an interactive discussion on integrating sustainability into the curriculum. The training is provided twice annually to educate faculty on sustainability-related topics and discuss resources available to support faculty efforts. The session addresses strategies for creating sustainability-focused projects, developing opportunities for service learning, and case studies from UDC and peer institutions, all aimed at fulfilling the University’s mission to promote civic responsibility and community engagement.

All faculty are eligible to attend course development training as a component of professional development, required for each member of the faculty at the start of the semester. Attendees are also provided with ongoing support from the UDC Sustainability Initiative's two full-time staff.
