The highest governing body for UTRGV, which is the UT System Board of Regents, has representation from areas of diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. Over half of the board of regents are comprised individuals of culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds and empowered women who represent over 100,000 UT System students.
UTRGV’s participatory governance works towards the sustainable development goal of Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by building an effective and accountable institution. UTRGV prides itself as being diverse, equitable, and inclusive to all of our campus community both in traditional and executive leadership roles, and we are proud to share that many of our governing bodies are led by under represented groups. All of the governing groups mentioned prior, have significant impact and voice for our campus community at UTRGV.
UTRGV as an institution of of UT System, is led by innovation and celebration of differences that united all institutions across the state of Texas.
