A brief description of the second program/initiative/accomplishment:
$1,057,410 for Low Impact Development Water Quality Basin from San Antonio retrofits 9.5 acres of previously untreated impervious cover over the Edwards Aquifer. A grant from the City of San Antonio 1/8th% sales tax to UTSA's Environmental Science department for research and study of anthropogenic effects of stormwater runoff and treatment.

$50,000 for Tree Canopy replacement

A brief description of the third program/initiative/accomplishment:
Office of Sustainability wrote and received a grant from the City of San Antonio to provide $50,000 toward tree canopy. The City of San Antonio tree mitigation fund allowed for 45 trees to be added to the UTSA Campuses for walkability, air quality, and shade value.
