A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
All incoming students, faculty and staff receive a planner that includes “tips for going green” and a reusable, recycled grocery shopping bag. They are further informed of University Policy (UTS 169) regarding sustainability, the UTSA Handbook of Operating Procedures section on sustainability (HOP 9.43) and UTSA Office of Sustainability support. All entering students including transfer students take training on inclusion and diversity. Further programs are available in LGBTQ+ Ally Training, Dreamers Ally Training, and housing and residential life training on optional event based curriculum for residents.
