A brief description of the source of non-potable water and how it is used:

Applied Engineering Technology Building at the Main Campus captures cooling coil condensate (fin water) and directs condensate to the South Thermal Energy Plant for use as cooling tower make-up water. All water for decorative fountain at the Hemisfair Park Campus comes from ground water located below the Institute of Texan Cultures.
