The UT System hosts a facilities conference every year. Participants come from each of the UT System campuses as well as the UT System main office. In 2012 & 2013 energy saving and “greening” techniques were sessions on the agenda.

UTEP is also part of the Texas Regional Alliance for Campus Sustainability (TRACS): http://texascampussustainability.wordpress.com/.

UTEP also collaborates with New Mexico State University and El Paso Community College on other initiatives, such as information sharing on sustainability activities.
