UT Dallas has partnered with Zipcar to bring self-service, on-demand car sharing to the campus. The university Zipcar fleet includes a variety of vehicles which have reserved parking spaces at several locations on-campus. Special membership rates are provided to students, staff, faculty, alumni, and members of the community.

Comet Cruiser Neighborhood Bus Service
The Comet Cruiser is a shuttle bus serving UT Dallas and the surrounding community. You do not need any sort of pass or identification to use this bus, but other bus and train routes do require a DART Transit Pass.

UT Dallas has twelve Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations located on-campus. The stations are open to campus members and the general public via UTD permit, visitor permit, or meter payment. The UT Dallas Green Map is made available to the public and illustrates all charging station locations.

A brief description of the incentives or programs to encourage employees to live close to campus:
UT Dallas Comet Discounts includes local apartment housing to incentivize employees to live close to campus. Many apartments located near UT Dallas offer discounts on rent, fees, and/or deposits.

Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:
UT Dallas has eight bicycle repair stations located on-campus that are free and open for public use. These stations are equipped with QR codes for smartphone users, which link to videos about basic bike repairs.

UT Dallas has a DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) center located on the main campus, and will soon be adding a stop on the DART Silverline.
